Deep-mapping Walks

Existing stories are uncovered and analysed: mapping includes examining geography, climate, tourism and folklore…

  • 11.00am Saturday 27th September 2025 (approx 2 hours)

Start: outside Marine Workshops, Railway Approach, Newhaven BN9 0ER.

Join us for a creative stroll around Newhaven’s Eastside to investigate its ‘spirit of place’. We’ll share our knowledge of some of the hidden histories, point out some unusual observations and wander slightly off the beaten track and around the edges…

    No artistic experience necessary!

Just bring a camera (a phone will do), a note or sketchbook (or even a microphone). We’ll pay close attention to the sights, sounds and overall atmosphere of Newhaven’s Eastside and document our experience.

Booking essential. Numbers are limited, so please complete our Booking Form (below) to reserve a place. If over-subscribed, bookings will be made on a first come, first served basis, we will however notify you if you’ve been unsuccessful in securing a place.

The walk is weather dependent, if we need to postpone we’ll use the contact details you provide.
